I contacted the Mansion on O Street for more information about the place after my son and his girlfriend told me they were taking me there as a birthday gift. Nancy promptly called me back and provided me with a lot of information about the mansion's history which made me even more excited to visit. I loved the experience - we didn't feel rushed and the staff was friendly and professional. What a beautiful place filled with beautiful items for sale - a lot of the items I saw brought back fond memories of my past such as the Wizard of Oz display ,the Beatles, Star Wars, and Barbie, just to name a few. We did find 8 or 9 secret doors and had so much fun. There is so much to see and I will definitely be back in the near future - thank you Nancy and staff for making our experience a memorable one and thank you for all you do for the community, I wish there were more places like the O Street Museum - a classy place with a wonderful history and a great staff that runs it. I have already spread the word to friends and neighbors to visit - a great birthday gift!

Mansion on O Street is the best place/museum I’ve ever been to. Not enough words to describe the experience, but it was mesmerizing, magical, captivating, jaw dropping.
When we went inside, it felt like entering another universe. Every corner revealed a new surprise & it’s impossible to see everything in one visit. We plan on doing a Night at the Museum as we are determined to find all 90+ secret doors.
Run to this museum…a one of a kind museum.

I was given the idea of going to this museum from a friend. You won't always find it on things to do in DC lists. It is worth the trip. Cost is low and you can easily spend several hours in the mansion. It is more than a search for secret doors, the entire place is full of collectibles. Some of the rooms are overwhelmingly filling with things. You can buy almost anything in the museum. If you like it take it with you, you won't find your way back and it won't be in the gift shop area. Think creatively and have fun!
