The Villas Of Amelia Island Plantation

Check in is at 4:00 pm. It is now 5:10 pm and our room isn't ready yet. We've driven a long way and just want to shower before our dinner reservation. This stay is starting off on the wrong foot and it doesn't seem like they care.

The Omni resort at Amelia island was one of the worst hotel properties I have ever stayed at. The villa room they put me in was old and dingy, there was no service to the room. The tub and sink were stopped up and one of the sinks didn’t work. Mold in the bathroom. They didn’t service the rooms or replace the towels. It was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in that touts itself as resort quality! Save your money this place is a dump! That was all for $300 a night.

Our family spring break vacation to Amelia Island started out wonderfully at the Omni Resort. The initial experience was super, with everything we hoped for in a Florida getaway. Unfortunately, unexpected construction began at our Villa, creating unbearable noise that made it impossible to relax. After enduring this for two days, we contacted management about our concerns. This is where Nic Bali, the Director of the Front Office, truly shined. He addressed our issues promptly and transformed what could have been a ruined vacation into an amazing experience by moving us to another Villa. His responsiveness and genuine concern for our comfort made all the difference. The entire Omni staff was exceptional. From the friendly service at the Coffee bar to Travis at the pool (you are truly the hardest working person there - thank you for everything you did to make our stay special!), every interaction was positive. Special mention to Joey, our server, who did an awesome job taking care of us throughout our stay. If you're planning a trip to Amelia Island, I highly recommend staying at the Omni Resort or Villas. Despite our initial hiccup, the way management handled the situation and the overall quality of service convinced us it won't disappoint! We will definitely be coming back to the Omni for our next family vacation. The way they turned around what could have been a disaster into such a memorable experience has made us loyal guests for years to come!
