Holiday Villas

The apartment was not as described on the listing page. The building is currently undergoing MAJOR construction and renovation. Because of this, it is impossible to sleep or rest past 8:00 AM due to constant construction noise. It is also not possible to sit on the balcony and enjoy the beach view, as the only thing you hear is the ongoing construction on the side and roof of the building, along with exposure to cement dust. Although the listing technically mentioned construction, it was placed at the very bottom of the description. This is not something that should be buried at the end of a listing. It is a significant issue that should be clearly disclosed at the top so guests fully understand what will be taking place directly outside their room and above their ceiling. There is a pool at the property, but it is only available from 4:00 PM until dusk, making it largely unusable for most of the day. When guests pay extra for a property that advertises a pool, they reasonably expect access throughout normal daytime hours. The cleanliness of the apartment was unacceptable. Many of the kitchen items are heavily scratched and worn. The floors are dirty, and the carpets are visibly filthy. The chairs in the kitchen and living room are stained and unclean. The air vents in the bedrooms, bathrooms, and living room are covered with layers of dust. The shower head was filthy and showed visible mold buildup, which raises serious cleanliness and health concerns. Additionally, several items in the apartment were broken or poorly maintained. One curtain is missing and broken, and the guest room closet door is misaligned and damaged. Another inconvenience is that beach towels are not provided. At a beach property, guests reasonably expect beach towels to be included, yet here they must be rented for an additional fee. Overall, the condition of the apartment and the ongoing construction significantly impacted our experience and did not align with the expectations created by the listing. We are extremely dissatisfied with this VRBO experience. Given the extent of these issues, it is completely understandable that a property undergoing this level of construction would not be suitable for guests, and this listing should not be available for rent in its current condition. VRBO is no help at all. After hours and hours on the calls and sending images and videos 7 times, they keep saying they did not receive it. They did not even read the emails. So, after sending one photo at a time and confirming that they received it one at a time, all they said was that "They are sorry, but this is a minor inconvenience." Rohit S Escalation Supervisor is useless. Never rent this villa directly or indirectly.

They have started construction every day at 7:30am, directly over our room. Not hanging some curtains - they’re drilling in concrete above us. When I asked the front desk staff about it, the girl responded by saying “your company should have told you about that, we’ve been under construction for a year”. For real. She blamed us for not being told about construction by a third party. Holiday Villas needs to own their mess, stop making excuses, or close. They should be closed to do this kind of work anyway. Or at least not rent the rooms that are directly underneath. They also definitely need some new staff, ASAP. That lady was a horrible choice to have interacting with customers. Maybe an automated kiosk? If you’re going to be that rude, you might as well save some money. We also have hallway lights on outside our windows (that don’t have curtains, and the blinds are broken) making it impossible to use one bedroom. The elevator is basically useless, so we’ve ended up taking the stairs a lot. It takes several minutes to go anywhere. Last thing - because we are in a specific unit, our parking spot is across the 4-lane street. There are construction dumpsters taking up half of their parking on site, and the employees are still parking in the garage right next to the office…. But customers paying to stay there often have to park across a very busy road. Including us with our three kids. Do not book Holiday Villas III, under any circumstances.

Room itself was furnished nicely and was clean. But... Tv didnt work. I nursed it for a few days then it wouldnt turn on at all. Shower in master bath was COLD! terrible! When I told front desk, she said that sometimes the shower valves are switched, meaning that to get hot water, it needs to be set on COLD. They really need to tell renters ahead of time so that they dont end up with a terribly cold, uncomfortable shower experience like I did.
