Quality Hotel on the Beach

First disappointment: the photos of the hotel on Trip Advisor are from several years ago. From a huge hotel whose parking lot is even higher than the Gulfview Hotel pushed next door. Checkin quick and easy. The hotel has parking which is convenient in the middle of Clearwater Beach. On the other hand location level we are between 2 large hotels extremely noisy. Especially the Shepart beach resort which puts on such loud music even late until after midnight. The room is fine. There is a sea view for the more expensive rooms. Otherwise you will potentially have the direct view of the hotel wall opposite, glued to the parking lot. The bathroom is good too. Nothing extraordinary. And the hotel is also in good condition. There is a small kitchen also in the room. No breakfast offered. Just coffee. The small swimming pool and jacuzzi directly overlook the private beach. But do not hope to rest there. The 2 hotels around turn on the music all day. In the end, the price remains high for basic services.

Excellent location. Great value. Very happy

My wife and I love Clearwater and were excited to finally have the opportunity to stay at this hotel. We booked a room for February 9th and 10th, but unfortunately out experience was very disappointing. After entering our assigned room, my wife immediately noticed a large clump of hair in the bath tub that appeared to have come from someone cleaning out a hairbrush or something. There were also strands of around the drain, on one of the pillows, and across the top of the dresser. The overall cleanliness of the room was clearly not up to standard. When I attempted to connect my Firestick to the TV, it would not connect to WiFi. After calling the front desk, I was informed that the TVs do not support WiFi access. When I later spoke with the manager, Joyce, about this WiFi issue, she responded by saying that I must not have stayed in a smaller hotel before. In addition, the air conditioning unit would not turn on the low setting and only operated on high, and it would not adjust side to side. Because the unit was blowing onto the bed, we had to place a suitcase and several pillows in front of it just block the airflow to sleep. Because of these issues, I canceled our second night. The following morning I showed Joyce photos of the of all of our concerns as well as a outlet that was partially pulled out of the wall, which appeared to be a potential fire hazard. Her response was simply that she would "look into it," and the concerns did not seem to be taken seriously. Overall, the cleanliness and lack of response from management were very disappointing. If I were able to give this hotel less than 1 star, I would. Based on our experience, I would not recommend staying here.
