DOUBLETREE BY HILTON COCOA BEA

We recently stayed for 2 nights leading up to our Disney cruise. We had 7 in our party, including 4 kids, so had 2 rooms. Both rooms had a beautiful view of the ocean and a decent sized balcony. All the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We arrived via private transport from Orlando airport at 10:30 a.m.. Our bags were placed in a locked room and we were free to use the pool and/or beach until our rooms were available. This hotel was perfect for us as we didn’t have a car. A short walk away in a strip mall were restaurants including pizza, Chinese, and an ice cream parlor. Also, at the end of the strip mall was a Publix. We also ate a meal at the Starlite restaurant in the hotel which was very good. I recommend the ice cream parlor across the street, but the hotel does have a small selection of ice cream on site as well. Cape Canaveral cruise port is only about a 10 minute ride from the hotel. We had a late check-in time for our cruise and the hotel offered a late check-out which was very useful.

Loved this hotel! It’s right on the beach, and has a pool also. Everyone was so friendly and checked with me several times to see if I needed anything. The on site restaurant was also great. I loved the breakfast burrito! The room was clean and maintained well during my visit. I could even see the cruise ships heading out each afternoon. It was a short drive to visit the space center too. I will definitely be visiting this hotel again.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel (Cocoa Beach Oceanfront) the evening of June 12 to June 13. Itinerary # H17675048 The room looked clean and fine. However, the morning of the 13th we encountered a cockroach at the head of our bed! We took the insect to the main desk and they said nothing of significance. An hour later when we went to the main desk to check out the lady at the counter noted that they were not going to charge us the $20.00 for our parking. Nothing was noted (again) about the cockroach! Our room was reserved and paid for by our business colleague. Nothing was reduced for the stay - in spite of the detestable insect crawling at the head of the bed! There was not even a verbal apology! Poor reaction! Poor service!!
