Ramada Inn & Suites Kennedy Space Center

The motel is average, but a great deal based on prices in the area. Stayed two nights before a cruise. The front desk workers welcomed me promptly as I entered. Check in was a breeze. The room was nice and clean. The bed was more than comfortable and made for a nice and relaxing sleep. There are several restaurants close by including a Denny's off of the lobby.

We booked this hotel 2 months prior to our trip. We were looking for an affordable stop the night before our cruise. When we showed up at the hotel, there were signs posted on the front door that every room had been sold. Knowing we had a reservation I went in to get our rooms. I was in disbelief as I was told that all rooms had been sold and they did not hold our reservation, which was already paid for! We had to fight through the refund process in a lobby that smelled of smoke. The area did not feel safe and my wife was happy to go elsewhere. It was a very frustrating evening the night before our cruise.

We thought this would be a good place to stay before our cruise for $110 total. The reviews weren't too bad when we booked, but then went downhill after that. Avoid this hotel unless you love the smell of marijuana. The place reeked of it the minute we walked in, and one of the employees told us that they were trying to get rid of the addicts, but couldn't. The employees were also smoking in the hallway by the door. The police were there at least twice in the couple of hours we stayed. We went out and bought some Febreeze at a nearby Walmart, but that didn't help. When we started feeling sick, we left and found another nearby hotel. This is not a nice hotel, don't believe the good reviews, they are not true. It's run down, and not the cleanest place either. It seems to be a place for addicts and homeless to stay cheaply. There are no phones in the rooms, the tub did not have a plug that worked. Showers only. We're currently working with Expedia and our credit card company to get a refund for that night, but there is no way that we could have stayed even one night. The only good part of it is the Denny's that is attached.
