Positives :- Excellent location Amazing pool Staff in the grill restaurant were lovely. Amazing chicken wings and nachos at the grill. Negatives :- Big resort fees as well as a $500 dollar deposit required. Hotel is cashless and don’t really like you to pay as you go . They had issues with our card and we were told on 3 occasions they had now sorted it but one night we even ended up being locked out of our room . Had to keep leaving notes for towels for the 4 of us . The sofa bed was very uncomfortable In room 5093 by the way . The springs poke through and we needed more blankets to make it more comfortable . One of the restaurants was closed , the slides were not open for the times advertised and the bar kept closing early. Also the buffet for breakfast wasn’t available . When we queried this , it was apparently down to low booking numbers our week . This should have been something we were advised about as these were some of the reasons we chose this hotel - disappointing .

We stayed here because it was the host hotel for a work conference. Conference area- it was fine. The ballroom and chairs were adequate, the lunch served was terrible. The lobby was the best part w/various bars, open and light, plenty of seating. Husbands has Ambassador status with Marriott so they gave us an “upgrade” upon check in. We did get into our room at 10am which was great. The room was awful! The bed was hard, pillows went flat in 30 seconds, AC was musty & sooooo humid even as low as 68 degrees, we tried 68-70 and no change. The sheets felt damp. The bathroom was damp. (We live in Naples FL) and stayed at plenty FL hotels so “well it’s Florida during the summer” excuse isn’t true… it’s old AC. The bathroom tub smelled moldy, the towels are old, cheap and scratchy. The bathroom lighting is terrible. I couldn’t see to do my eye makeup because so dim. Suggest any lady over 40 years old to bring a lighted magnifying makeup mirror with you. We had a HUGE balcony, maybe 20x10 or larger but only had 1 chair and 1 lounger on it so it looked bare. They could have a table with 2-4 chairs for ordering room-service breakfast, 2 loungers w/side table, plus a sofa or comfy chairs w/ottomans w/Sunbrella material cushions. Then it would be a huge asset. Do not PAY to upgrade to these large balconies because it was a waste. The room was large and shower water pressure was good. The gym was average/fine for this size hotel. Life Fitness equipment was in good condition. The pool is large with various depths to 6’. Hard basic loungers, some umbrellas. Extremely old/cheap pool towels but you can have as many as you want. Located across from SeaWorld so if that’s important to you. Valet was $50ish plus tax per day. The valet employees were friendly and fast. Ice machines on each floor w/filtered water. The “bottled” water they give you in the room is in cardboard carton like school milk. Probably the worst hotel we’ve stayed at in over 30 years. Truly a 2 “maybe” a 3 star (because of nice lobby) hotel but we give it a 1 star. In dire need of maintenance, cleaning, and remodeling.

The hotel is large and comfortable for a dance convention, but the cleaning service this year was terrible.
