Bluegreen Daytona Seabreeze, Ascend Resort Collection

We stayed here in 2020 for only $250 for the week using RCI last call & thought it was a great deal & nice resort! We came back last week using our HGVC points & we’re not as pleased as we were our 1st visit! Not worth the points in our opinion! The beach is fantastic however the resort itself is dirty, tired & worn down!! The kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom was recently redone too. For sure Hilton’s input! The sunrises are amazing! No room cleaning for a week’s stay either! You only get a room clean after 8 days or more! The only place you needed your keycard was your room & the stairway from the parking lot. Anyone from the beach could walk up & use the facility as the key cards weren’t working to enter the resort from the beach or the gym & it was open access to anyone. We saw a party of 4 cars set up in front of the resort one day & use the resort facilities throughout the day. Also we had to be sure our room door shut behind us too as it was sketchy at times not always shutting! Our room safe also didn’t work. They did a midweek “bug inspection” which concerned me as they couldn’t confirm if they’d be spraying chemicals in our room or not during the inspection. In our opinion, many of the HVC resorts omit the “G” for a reason because the “Grand” is certainly missing in our experience! Great location but a building tear down is needed!!

Don't let the "prize package" fool you. We were held for hours by managers who refused to let us leave until we made a decision. They pushed a credit card on us that we didn't want and lied about everything from boating benefits to resort amenities. Now, we’re stuck with hidden costs and upgrades for a package that isn't even valid. Despite telling them we cannot travel anymore, they refuse to cancel and just demand more money. It's been a traumatic experience to say the least. Save yourself the headache and stay away!

One bedroom unit was just little tight but we made it work, Ocean view made it worth the stay. Rip tides was bad that week so beach time was ready.
