Room was nice. Service? Holy Toledo. After originally booking Daytona Beach Studios. Received a message a few hours later stating our room had a major plumbing issue & asking me to agree to be moved to Castaways for the same rate. I agreed because we wanted to be close to the happenings. I receive a text message from the property the morning of telling me my room number & how to check in. Also told there was a key in the room that will get us back into the facilities if we are out past door lock time. (The room doors are key coded, whereas the facilities key for the doors on the property was a traditional key). We arrive shortly after check in time, 1615, check in, go to our room, don’t find a key to get back in, so decide we will stop back by the desk on our way out to dinner. We had already been advised the desk does not have an attendant past 2000 on weekdays & past 1700 on weekends. Go to the desk & tell them no key. The guy at the desk was sweet. Called his boss & asked how he can get us one as quick as possible & offered to stay with us in the lobby until a 3rd party showed up to bring us a key for re-entry. His boss is on speaker & tells him no, not to stay late, & instructing him how to contact the owner of that particular room. We sit and wait a few minutes, becoming frustrated at our time ticking away (we were on a one night getaway). I send a text back to the number that texted me instructions on how to check in. My husband goes up to the desk and asks the attendee if he leaves at 5, what are we supposed to do & how can we get back in if we don’t have a key. The attendee told my husband that “people will be in and out & we can just go thru when someone else does”. We tell him we are probably going to be back late, as we are going to explore the night life. Right about then, right before 1700, I receive a text from the number stating “we just left the key in your unit”. So we go back up the elevator to go in the room & find our key. Ofc we are thinking so someone just went in our room while it was unattended after we dropped all our belongings off. Weird. And not comforting. In my frustration, I text the number again asking “why wasn’t it on there to begin with” to which I receive the reply “the last renter lost the key. Enjoy”. Ok. I smell doo-doo, cause didn’t you go in there and clean & collect your key back? You have 6 hours between check out & check in & you instruct me a key will be left in the room so I don’t lose access to the building but you didn’t bother to put a key back in when the room was uninhabited. The room itself was beautiful. Clean. Decent bed. Little kitchenette we didn’t use. But the experience with the service was just off putting. We had already been told the key loss fee was $70 so we made sure to snap a pic on the way out with our bags showing the key on the wall in the pic, just in case we were to be charged.

The staff at the front desk were AMAZING!!! Jodi made our experience so wonderful and recommended so many things. She always had a smile on our face. My best friend, her daughter and I had a girls trip and Jodi made it so memorable. She was so kind and offered so many tips. We felt very safe traveling just girls. Jodi also gave Easter treats to my best friend’s daughter who absolutely loved it! Would HIGHLY recommend this place

Rep tried to offer accommodations at a different hotel. The hotel offered was the Atlantic Economy Inn located at 800 S Atlantic AVE Daytona Beach, FL. I kindly asked to cancel, he went ahead and charged the card. Do not book with them.
