YOU DECIDE.... Location steps from the ocean wonderful. A/C was good, bed OK. Pool maintained. Front desk staff tried to assist with our issues, but their hands were tied. . First night the deadbolt did not work. No maintenance. First night without a lock on door. Bathroom door handle fell off first time we tried to open door. Safe did not work. Stove did not work. Sliding door to pool area was stuck. There was no handle on outside of sliding door, so we had to leave it cracked. Patio area outside sliding dirty, trash, unkempt. Braces holding up the handrail to stairs were broken. We told font desk; 4 days later and no one came to look at the stairs, our stove or bathroom handle. Morning staff was not informed by evening staff of our needs. PHOTOS below - broken door handle, safe stuck in "lock position" , peeling walls.

It’s a dump. We arrived late at 8:30 and there was no way to get in there was no one in the office. Booked through Priceline and we called the number for the hotel and there was no answer. So at 9:00 pm after s long travel day we had to get a room at a different hotel for $172 for one night because we couldn’t check in at 8:30 pm. There is a note on the door to call for service but it could not be seen because there were no outside or inside lights on. The room was dirty, blinds had broken slats and we had to use towels to cover so people couldn’t look in. Light out in the bathroom and the floor in the shower looked gross. First time I’ve ever felt like I need to wear flip flops in a hotel shower. Dont waste your money. It’s an absolute dump. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels. Cheap and expensive. This was is the worst I’ve ever stayed in.

This is a small hotel, small enough to not have night office hours. And of course no breakfast room, restaurant, and I didn't notice a laundry room. Rooms other than ground floor (where I was) have some degree of ocean view. My room was tile floored (sensible, sand being abundant), which was clean--no sand. The room also had a very fresh mini kitchen with eating and cooking utensils and equipment, a rather large refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom had an aging cabinet for the sink and the shower head was a bit corroded, otherwise fine. Main room furnishings were in excellent shape, other than an old lampshade. Outdoor areas are freshly painted and meticulously clean. Street visibility and access is good despite the relatively narrow lot. The beach in this area is an official dog beach. It has a shower on the beach close to the hotel, and another (plus dog water) farther south. Lifeguard tower is to the south. The beach is typical for the Daytona area, with a gentle slope seaward and very few shells in the quartz sand. Seawalls are close to the high tide line.
