Daytona Shores Inn and Suites

HERE as I coast in His Own typa Way, breathe sea salt, wash over in hard sought rare stay.. MORE charm than $$$ town allows, YET STILL HERE, 👋 Wave at y'all from this side of tha south!! SHAME on those focused on appearances.. DO WE still remember what we were told about those?? THIS Sparkling sapphire, SHINES!! (NEW CREW) SPACE--TRUTH TOLD, not old.. CLASSIC With frills JUST chills. ONLY place in Florida I've been AS THIS.. COUNTLESS showed AND told by those born and raised: just doesn't exist anymore... OLD FLORIDA we still remember...LOST?? NOT!! HOW MUCH wasted money (chain hotels) time (front desk) energy (device BOOKING) ISN'T THIS WHY I CAME?!? BUT this place after TOO MUCH above listed... TRIED TRUE OCEAN BLUE WORD OF MOUTH FOUND..METHODS THAT STAND TEST OF TIME... Don't know about other experiences, shirtless presentations.. NOW MANAGEMENT NEW BUT ALREADY KNEW THIS DYING BREED: THIS CREED.. I found from my very dear friend (all heart); Possessing IMPECCABLE OLD SCHOOL WORK ETHIC: her Hospitality I was blessed by previously 🙏🕊️❤️ HALLELUYAH for her and fam: GETTUR DONE, no sheeple just RAM! 1. DIRECT ACTUAL BEACH: NO GATES, CODES, HALLWAYS OR HERDED LIKE A CORRAL.. JUST OUT THE DOOR, Sit to Marvel at Works of His Hands 🙏 OR start stepping few towards tha sand. . MY necessary NOT: I don't dig or swim the chlorine cesspool carrying a cute little cocktail of surprises from the previous visitors, nor the shameless antics taking place in front of my little eyes that see all. NO SICK OR ICK.. 2. CLEAN FARE, THOUGHTFUL CARE : NEVER wait on towels, toiletries, no front desk, just always present, wave or text. EVERY ROOM UPON PRESENT (3 SO FAR, multiple weeks) cleaned to perfection, ( nesting new mama would accept with newborn out/in-vitro..) Deep cleaned is standardized. Inside and outside rooms. Ms. Vickie always says: "You know, i think every guest should enter into one of my rooms as if no one else had ever done so." THIS INCLUDES and is POSSIBLE by those Whose reservations are ACCEPTED.. THA UNDESIRABLE ELSEWHERE DIRECTED... PICTURE'S WORTH WHAT?? RIGHT ON.. 3. BEST ATMOSPHERE FOR THE BEACH: 80'S BABY-BOLD SCREAM NO SHADY MEANS VALUE OF QUIET, PEACE, WAVES; MY OWN IS ALL I WANT TO HEAR! HALLELUYAH'S RIGHT'CHEER!!!! FORGET THE CROWD, LOUD, LEAVE DEVICES FOR THE CRISIS! KNOW THAT: I was not compensated writing this review.. SIMPLE TRUTH NO EDIT LOVE WON: first sight, THIS VIEW!!

To start, google and GPS take you to the "original" property(I'm assuming)and it has been condemned, it has the hotel sign. The property across the street from that operates as Daytona Shores Inn and Suites and has no sign. We were dealing with the fact it is extremely outdated and run down, the fact that people congregated and smoked right outside our door, but then we came in Fri eve and had no where to park. There are only a few spots dedicated to park on the property, the others are "pay to park" spots for access to the beach, even though they are in front of the hotel, and you can only pay to park there til 11pm.after that you are ticketed $75-$126 and possibly towed by Volusia County, We were never told this ahead of time nor when we checked in. I verified this with the county and the enforcement officer that showed up during our dilemma. The manager did offer us an Airbnb to move to, but we didn't want to move for one night, and the hotel clerk did try to contact some of the vehicles owners to ask them to move across the street. They told us we could park at the abandoned/condemned hotel across the street in the grass with no security but we didn't feel that was safe. I ran into a regular patron of the hotel and asked him if he could move his car enough to let us park on patio and he was gracious enough to give us his spot and he parked across the street. We gave him $40 for his trouble.The person who checked us in was very accommodating and did anything we asked. She advised hotel is under new management and sounds like the previous owner really ran it down. This place needs to close until they get it together.

Dirty poorly cleaned misled on amenities. Trash outside not changed in days with flys. Used soap in shower with previous occupants hair on it. Charger left under bed from previous occupant. Used sheets shoved above trash area. Pool was broken. Unit did not have stove shown in photos. No wash cloths. Office always marked closed by sign. Lizard in unit. Uncleaned ac unit. Sheets on bed smelled like washer is mildewed. Standing water during shower. Had to purchase more toilet paper. Pool broken and ground eroding by it unsafe. Purchased an additional night purely to stay by the beach and was charged more by the hotel then nightly price through booking site.
