Sand Castle Motel

we stayed there 2 days in June, the location is great. The room was very outdated . the mattress was very lumpy. We asked for wash cloths the 2nd day as there where only 2 in room and was told that they just give clean towels every 3 days. The smoke detector was not working face was off and wires hanging, no battery. I told front office they just shrugged shoulders, lock on door was not very good and did not feel safe, would not recommend. The location was great.

Please, he has storm damage looks like a war zone. The seawall was in Ruins pools busted up the sun deck was a bust it up. The pier was destroyed down the street. The pictures don’t show anything like the condition of the property. The property was a storm damage on the side of the building facia was peeling and missing some of the metal and see what was busted up couldn’t have access to the beach had to go quarter-mile before you could get beach access. No sundeck was available as shown in the pictures pictures must’ve been taken 20 years ago because they’re not the current conditions.

The motel looked a little rough from the outside. Our room was on the third floor, no elevators. Their ad indicated a pool with access to the ocean. Was a nonrefundable reservation, but was notified by email, the night before stay that " the pool and sea wall was damaged from a hurricane. Access was possible next door at public park." But the park was fenced in and closed as well. I never would of reserved the room if I couldn't swim or access the ocean. Very deceiving.
