Tropical Suites Daytona Beach

Location is good. We stayed in other units there in the past and they were pretty good. This last time we stayed in the "penthouse" unit 1002 and felt completely ripped off. "White" couch was filthy stained, to the point where we had to cover it with a blanket to sit on it - the unit in general disrepair with noticeable stains from water leaks in various places (including on the lamp shade). Stove was useless (very old, rusty in places, all burners were not level so a pan would not sit level which was downright dangerous) pots and pans were disgusting completely scratched up to the point of being dangerous (surface coming off). Similar issue with the plastic utensils. A de-humidifier had to run and be emptied multiple times a day to keep the moisture out of the unit. Furniture was loose and inexpensive flat packed variety that needed to be at least tightened. Bed was losing it's edging support. Deck had two awful chairs. Baseboards dirty, toilet paper holder missing, and I could go on. If it weren't for our need in visiting an elderly parent we would have left but we roughed it out. I wasn't given an opportunity to review online vrbo I suppose because I filled out their comment questionnaire before we left and they certainly knew how our stay went. We didn't try to demand anything from them but wow - save your money for a better unit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay here. Live in Central Florida and love to do staycations in the Daytona area. Previously stayed at neighboring property for many many years and when it sold, was looking for a "regular" new place stay. So glad we came to the Tropic Seas. Eddy at the front desk and all the staff are fantastic, very accommodating. The property is well cared for and always see some maintaining the grounds, rooms are clean and comfortable. Looking forward to our next stay soon.

Sunglow seems really nice in the photos and on the websites. I was fooled. We arrived and it was so dirty and unclean. The photos aren't even close to what you receive when you arrive. It is WAY over priced. Head the warning and stay elsewhere. The office staff is extremely rude and not helpful at all.
