Travelodge Defuniak Springs

The entire experience was positive from check in to check out. The Wyndham site had reserved 2 rooms when I only needed one. The check in clerk removed the second reservation.

It’s not a bad place it’s just not the cleanest place I have ever been to the front desk was very nice and friendly but our room was not clean in sometime I would imagine because one of my kids sat on the floor and when she stood up her clothes were covered in dirt and a short time later she had spit some water and when we cleaned up the mess the rag was black from the dirt and we had only been there for 2 hours so I know that there was no way we could have gotten it that nasty in that short period of time very disappointing and the way you have to get here is a little confusing

I stayed one night to visit a nephew and his family in Freeport. The motel was as I remembered them years ago: one floor with room doors opening to outside. The room was clean, (w/ a hint of the cleaning products), and decently appointed/provisioned. It was to the rear and far enough off the highway that noise was not an issue. Breakfast was coffee and a Honey Bun or muffin because the juice drink machine was out of order. You can Google and locate a place a short drive away to eat. Not bad for a place to just crash for the night; not that pricey.😊
