Resortquest Rentals At Grand Caribbean

Check in is supposed to be 4:00. We were about an hour early so went to the condo. The door was wide open and the beds were made. Floor was nasty with sand everywhere so left. Went back at 4:00, the door was still open and no other cleaning was done. There was sand everywhere including the bed. Glasses and papers on the bar. We were only staying 3 nights so wanted to make the best of it. We took the sheets off the bed and washed them ourselves. That steep cleaning fee must not be used to pay for cleaning. On check out day, the housekeepers showed up at 8:45am before checkout. I told them we’re weren’t quite ready. So they actually stood outside of our door until we left. I guess I was expecting a little more cleanliness for the price. Just not going to use this company again. May not be Realjoys fault, but that’s who rented me the condo that charged for cleaning that wasn’t done so won’t be using them again.

My wife and I are snowbirds and this was our fourth winter booking with Saltwater. We booked Grand Caribbean West, unit 211. Upon arrival the unit was filthy and we were killing cock roaches every night. The floors were dirty, there was dust everywhere, long dark hairs and pubic hairs between the toilet and the tank and cock roach feces in some kitchen drawers. Now remember, we had paid a cleaning fee! Also, we had booked, and were paying for, a complex with a hot tub. Upon arrival we find out that the hot tub is being removed. Dealing with Saltwater in general and Amanda Starkey in particular was like pulling teeth as we insisted on being moved to clean, acceptable unit. Never again. If you want a nice vacation, do not book with Saltwater and do not stay at the Grand Caribbean West complex.

We just returned from staying in unit 306 at Grand Caribbean West and had the perfect vacation! The unit was beautiful and perfect in every way. The unit had a very comfortable king bed in the master bedroom with a wall mounted smart tv. The bunk beds in the hall area are awesome and were comfortable enough for our adult son who visited us for several nights. The sofa sleeper was extremely comfortable due to the owners purchasing a better quality mattress with a mattress topper. The living room furniture is brand new and very well decorated. (Love the seashore picture over the couch). The kitchen had everything we needed in order to provide a few home cooked meals. Again, the owners really thought of it all. I saved the best for last. The over sized L shaped balcony was to die for! There are only a few of these oversized balconies in the building and this unit did it right with the furniture. A nice size dinning table with four chairs, a high top table and chairs to enjoy your adult beverage on and a rocking chair to sit in while I watched the ocean waves. It was so relaxing! The heated pool was great and hot tub even better. Overall, we give unit 306 an A++. We will be returning to the same property and unit.
