Aqua Hotel

Lovely and charming old style motel with two swimming pools, one of which is salt water. It was a refreshing change from identikit motels and hotels. The manager, Maggie, was wonderful and kindly helped us with suggestions for dinner and nightlife. We were able to store our luggage after checking out and rent an umbrella to go to the beach. We also had an excellent dinner at the Wine Garden restaurant down the street from Aqua. We’d like to return for a longer stay one day.

From all the reviews that i have read, it appears that when the furniture and decor were newer several years ago, people were very satisfied. But, now several years later, the IKEA type furniture and decor is starting to show its age. Tub in bath that was recently painted with latex paint started peeling after 2 showers. Room was very clean (except for the baseboards). Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Maggie the manager was lovely! Salt water pool was excellent and warm. One block from the beach and restaurants.
