Grand Palm Plaza - Gay Men Only

I am waiting to check in. I have been waiting outside the hotel over an hour. I have contacted the off-site office three times. I was told to wait for a call back with directions on what to do. At this point I am losing patience.... poor customer service - not a great start to my stay...

Gay complex with pool where you can be nude even in the community áreas. It's expensive for the amenities that they are offering. They need to renovate the complex. It's in the area where you can find the other gay complex

We are not picky, but this place should not be open anymore as it has not been maintained. We checked in for only two days arriving late in the day. The room was not clean and had many items that should have been repaired or replaced. We had a suite for $200 a night. The carpet was worn out and pulled back at the linoleum in the kitchen. The back door opened onto a walkway with a view of trash bags below. Apparently the management is too lazy to use a dumpster. Unsafe as the railings at the stairs are rusted out. The final straw was roaches in the kitchen. The grounds and the pool were nice, but only partially fenced, with a plastic construction barrier completing the enclosure around the perimeter. We complained and finally got half our money back after showing all the examples of an unacceptable condition to property management, who initially had attitude. Had we not been staying there only a couple of days on our way home, we would have checked out and stayed elsewhere. All the surrounding properties are vacant and being demolished for new high rises. This place wasn't worth $50 a night let alone $200. Several health and life safety code violations. There are much better gay resort options in the area. Don't waste your money on these greedy slum lords.
