Holiday Inn Express and Suites Hollywood Ft Lauder

The location of this hotel is just right, and the atmosphere is great. The rooms are messy sometimes.

Booked this place direct through the hotel website for a dble queen room averaging about $263 a night a few wks before Spring Break. Parking was included, which I appreciated, so was the hot breakfast with something else I've never seen at any Holiday Inn Express, a coffee machine that had coffee beans! It was great. Breakfast hours 630 AM through 930 AM, so if you snooze, you lose. Room was very clean and spacious, including the bathroom which had a large, back-lit mirror. Loved the choices of the firm and the soft pillows. It was quiet when we were there and the AC worked fine, although it was very chilly in Florida due to the cold snap. Appreciated the microwave and fridge, which we used one night to make some cheap eats from ready made foods from local grocery store. Close to the MAI-KAI Restaurant and Polynesian Show, which was about a 14 min drive from this hotel.

We are currently here and are very pleased with the room. It’s clean and spacious. Bed is very comfortable. In an age where a lot of hotels seem to be switching to smaller pillows I really appreciate the XL pillows. Rooms seem to be very well insulated as we heard no other guests. Water presure in the shower is good. Air conditioner works great! I was really impressed with the free breakfast - scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links and patties, biscuits and sausage gravy, cinnamon rolls, muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit, hard-boiled eggs, cereal, a pancake machine, coffee, and juices. Front desk personnel were friendly and professional. The only thing that would make it better would be an airport shuttle, but FLL is only 12 miles away and an Uber was very reasonably priced. I look forward to future stays here!
