Rodeway Inn & Suites Airport / Cruise Port

Would give a zero rating if possible. Stayed here over night (8hrs) just before our Princess cruise. Picked based on location and other reviews. Hotel: run down, dirty, looks like its barely holding on. Check-in: via kiosk and took more than half hour via a kiosk Room: Ok, sheets and towels clean/ok, again needs refurbishing Service: Terrible, not personable Shuttle: to cruise terminal was the worst, chaotic...we had reservations but on loading it seemed first come first serve, so after waiting our turn switched to reservations but now started loading folks from the later reservations not acknowledging the folks waiting and that they are running behind...communication/updates dismal. if you want a Third World experience and that's your style, feel free to stay here. We recommend looking elsewhere for a peaceful experience right before your cruise, otherwise this place totally ruins the vibe.

I'm sorry but this place is pretty janky. First, the positives. The airport shuttle and port shuttle were nice. They also have a pretty good little restaurant in the hotel. The bathroom looks pretty nice. This place is designed more like a motel with the doors opening to the outside. The curtains have holes in them. The furniture is really worn. The bathtub drained soooo slowly and almost overflowed while we took our showers. They over use nasty smelling air freshener to cover up musty odors. Their continental breakfast was VERY sparse. This place was not cheap and I expected much more. I'm sorry but I can't recommend this place. I have to come back to Fort Lauderdale in January but won't be staying in.

We had a great stay before our cruise. If you're looking for a Fort Lauderdale airport hotel or a cruise port hotel near Port Everglades, this is an excellent choice. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the free Wi-Fi worked perfectly throughout our stay. The free airport shuttle made arriving from FLL easy, and the free cruise port shuttle to Port Everglades was convenient and on time, making our travel completely stress-free. The staff was friendly, the check-in process was quick, and everything was exactly as advertised. We will definitely stay here again before our next cruise and would recommend this hotel to anyone needing a clean, convenient Fort Lauderdale airport and cruise port hotel with reliable shuttle service and excellent value.
