Lighthouse Resort Inn Suites

Good location but NOT on the beach. It’s a 10-12 minute walk to the beach. FYI the pools are open to the public for $20 so there aren’t always chairs available. Music from the bars plays loudly until at least 11 pm each night. Fun atmosphere for some. Do not recommend for families with small children. Also, no elevator in the 3 story building. 42 steps up and 42 steps down.

The Tiki bar is a nightmare, whether you are nearby or in the most remote building. The staff is lovely and we were refunded the second night without having to negotiate.

I would certainly not recommend staying at The Lighthouse Inn and Resort at Ft Myers Beach, Florida. We stayed there the end of February and we’re highly dissatisfied. The website states it is a family, friendly resort, which is definitely not true if you have a room near the tiki bar. The tiki bar was open with loud live music or DJs every night until 11 or midnight depending on the day of the week. When I approached front desk to see if we could change our rooms, she told me they were full, which is fine. She did proceeded to tell me that I should have looked at their website because it states on their website that they have a tiki bar and live music. Since they have three buildings, I was not sure which building I was going to be placed in with my family for a room so how would I know I would be right over the tiki bar. This is not a relaxing atmosphere at all. If we wanted to relax in our room in the evening, we couldn’t even speak to each other because we couldn’t be heard. We were also there three days before housekeeping showed up. I went to the front desk to ask for towels and was told I should have brought my dirty towels down to exchange. I was told by the front desk staff that they probably didn’t stop if I had my do not disturb sign on the door. I have stayed at enough hotels to know not to put my do not disturb sign out on the door. The front desk staff was quite rude and the room that we stayed in were rather beat up. If you are looking for a party style kind of resort, this would be the best place for you to stay. If you would like a relaxing family resort, you will want to pick something else.
