Mainstay Suites Fort Myers

This property needs serious attention. I encountered bugs in multiple areas of the room — on the kitchen counters, in the drawers, and even on the bed sheets. The hot tub was out of order, and the pool had debris floating across the surface and clearly needed cleaning. The room rate was inexpensive, but this stay proved the saying: you get what you pay for. I reported the bug issue, and while the staff did respond quickly by spraying the room and offering me a different one, it was my last night. I had hoped the problem would have been addressed much earlier. Unfortunately, the spraying only seemed to make the bugs come out even more. The entire hotel is overdue for a full renovation. The carpets were stained and worn throughout the building, several areas needed fresh paint, and the shower never got hotter than lukewarm. Basic kitchen utensils were missing — even simple items like regular spoons — and the Wi-Fi signal was extremely weak. Overall, this stay was disappointing, and the hotel requires major improvements before I would consider returning.

Booked the 2 bedroom suite for my BFF and I to have a spa getaway in Ft Myers for the weekend. Had I known the condition of the room I would've run fast and far away. Poor lighting, filthy furniture and curtains, stained and broken appliances. Pool was broken which is just as well since it rained all weekend. The bed was surprisingly clean but that was literally all. Feel like I need to boil myself after staying here. There was someone's bandaid (yes, really) over the peep hole. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. NEVER AGAIN.

I rented the room for the Memorial Day weekend and got there at 9:30 pm. I expected the hotel to be decent hotel. When I got to the room, the air conditioner and TV in my room was not working. I went to the lobby and reported it and they did nothing. They didn't offer us another room. The dishwasher was not working. The bed was horrible to sleep on. But we were so tired that we waiting to the following day. I asked the concierge where I can get ice, and he said there's no ice machine on the floors. The hotel is outdated. Everything in the hotel is old. I don't recommend it to no one.
