Super 8 Fort Pierce

Found bed bugs upon initial inspection. Manager would not refund for the "first night" even though I had only spend spent time inspecting maybe 5-10 minutes in the room and told me not to bother to speak to the day shift manager...real classy motel 🙄...I have video of them crawling but it won't let me post it

This hotel is in questionable area. They have plenty of liquor, gas stations, convenient stores and fast food. Check in was ok but they required a deposit in cash and we were not allowed to use a credit card. This was a red flag to me from the beginning but we arrived after 9:00. The hotel had a small pool surrounded by a chain link gate that was ready to fall over. The room smelled and the air conditioning units were very loud. There were only enough towels for two people. The water pressure in the shower was okay. The decor was dated. The cable television worked fine. When we checked out in the morning we returned our keys and got our cash deposit.

My husband and I were on a spontaneous weekend getaway. We found this hotel through Travelocity and booked our stay. However, when we arrived we were met with several individuals that wanted to sell us drugs. As we canvased the surroundings, we found that the photo of the hotel was nothing as advertised, most doors looked as if beaten by a baseball bat, in a very precarious part of town. If safety is a priority to you and your family, do not consider this place. It is a crime scene waiting to happen unfortunately. We did not even get out of car! And Travelocity does not care about your safety, just their “protocol”. Personally, I’ve lost faith in booking online and Travelocity because of this terrifying experience. Our money was not refunded and our safety issues were left by the bayside.
