Hollywood Beach Resort

A period hotel, very nice, well located, good rooms and everything you need nearby...anywhere you go, you will find restaurants, liquor stores, clothing stores, bicycles, a small open-air theater with good presentations, you have to walk more than you can.

Booked through Airbnb. I expected the size of the room, which was fine. The view was pretty much the only thing good about this room. The shower curtain was dirty. The shower walls and ceiling had black mildew. I honestly wish I would’ve bought some Clorox bleach spray with me. This place was a old Mall-Tel. The bottom part of the hotel was an abandoned mall. Elevators and our floor smelled like old cigs and dirt. Only 2/3 elevators were working. There was also a lot of homeless people outside. Parking in the structure was $28/day. I would not stay here again.

Pro- good location by the beach and boardwalk. Pool is pretty nice. Cons- very old, outdated and creepy. The lobby is a vacant mall. Everything seems dark and deserted. Our room was updated but very tiny. View was terrible. 3 locks on our door, only ONE worked & it was chintzy. The owner of our room didn’t think this was a big deal? ! I felt very unsafe here. Stayed one night and canceled the rest of the week. A Local said it’s home of drug dealers, and prostitution. The smell was weed mixed with musty odor in elevators and hallway. I would never stay here again. Definitely not family friendly.
