Hollywood Beach Suites Hostel and Hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night. Access to the reception is not very well indicated, we turned a little to find it. Or at least you have to arrive from the right street because the c is well indicated. Charming small hotel with beach items loan which is a few meters away. The location is great! On the other hand, the staff (2 different people) were barely welcoming and made no effort to understand the language. Our room was spacious and clean but it smelled tremendously of humidity. We asked to change rooms but apparently impossible because the hotel was full. They lent us a tobacco spray... The restaurant next door is nice but quite noisy. No parking included, but lots of parking around but paying.

Horrible experience with both hotel (Rm G1) and staff. We arrived from a cruise early in the morning and we were promised a room at the hotel when we arrived in the morning (we had already reserved this with them). When we got to the hotel, they told us the room wasn't ready and it would take a little longer. We waited for over 3 hours and still the room wasn't ready, or so they said. We finally agreed to take room G1, which had a few stairs - we had requested a room with no stairs since I have a walker and my husband also has problems with stairs, plus we are both elderly. Since we had to wait so long, we finally agreed to take the room with a few stairs, which opened onto the street. After we had accepted the room, we were told there was no telephone in the room and we would have to walk to Reception with any problem. They did not tell us beforehand that there was no telephone. So we accepted that too! Then, after we had put all our luggage in the room, and went out for a short walk and to eat, we came back in the late afternoon. Since the room was freezing, we looked for the heat. There was no heater! We called Reception with our cell phone. They confirmed there was no heater in the room. They did not offer us any blankets or portable heater. We went to take a shower and there was only a few trickles of warm water coming from the shower head, and after the few drops of warm water, there was only trickles of freezing cold water. The sink water was the same! The toiletries in the bathroom had been used because I saw the hair conditioning cream left outside the container. The refrigerator froze the bottles of water! Parts of the room were dirty. We would never stay in this hotel ever again.

The hotel was very clean , the location was perfect one block from the strip and beach , the hotel had beach chairs and towels for us to use . The staff were very nice and accommodating especially Jesus . The rooms were nice nothing fancy we had the more the merrier room which was spacious. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're not looking for fancy it was nice and it was clean. They didn't clean the room everyday but they did come around and refresh it with new towels I would have liked to have the room swept everyday and we had sand on our shoes from the beach and would have liked to have new mugs but they didn't give us new dishes or take the dirty ones away not a big deal but would of been nice . They also didn't have coffee in the lobby as advertised said their coffee machine was broken. You do have to pay for parking $30 a day but we were able to find parking with no issues at the hotel . I would stay here again especially for the location . The taco restaurant attached was very good and the service there was good with very friendly staff .
