Chesapeake Resort

We went with another couple and had a blast. First, the looks were deceiving from the street. We drove to the beach and wow did my opinion change. They had 2 pools, a full beach with chairs and umbrellas and a marina you can pull a boat into if you have one of course. The rooms were newly renovated and they had decks out back or front depending where you stayed in the property. AC was ice cold, beds comfortable, showers nicely appointed, and overall I would’ve stayed longer if we weren’t key hopping. The morning breakfast was great. They had made to order omelets, pancakes, French toast, cereal, breads, bagels, juices, waters, fruit, yogurt and more. It was a really nice perk. Bring cash to tip the people cooking, they definitely deserved it. We did a snorkeling excursion and went to “the sandbar” after as part of the package. The marina with all this type of stuff is next door and within walking distance. There’s also a decent restaurant above the marina which we ate at later than night. The only downside of the resort was the paddle boards and canoes. They charged an exorbitant fee after 2 hours of use and no one was even using them. They were locked up. Kind of a downer. Either way, we’ll be back again, for longer next time.

A few words to describe an amazing resort, immersed in the most natural flora, it combines tranquility with maximum comfort. Clean, furnished in detail, sea a few meters away, amazing extra-large bathroom. Attention to detail

Sad experience paying $1800 for 5 days in a luxury room with a sea view. Cockroach found in the bed, poor soundproofing in the room (noises from outside hallways), very noisy air conditioning, elevator broken, outdoor jacuzzi broken, outdoor shower broken, no bar because the register is broken, bikes broken, breakfast very bad, low-end products. Beach unusable because the hotel does not pick up the seaweed, or only partially. It looks like a swamp with the smell of fermented seaweed. No compensation from the hotel. In short, avoid at all costs
