We chose this Best Western because it is pet friendly and on our way north from Southwest Florida. We stayed in Room 222, which faces the front of the hotel and is near the stairs. The stair carpeting and other carpeting looked tired and dirty and there was dried liquid residue of some sort on the wooden part of the stairs. They didn’t have a list of local restaurants so I had to do research myself. We ended up getting take out from a Burger place in the Publix shopping area across the highway. Our room was comfortable, but an arm chair had dirty side arms. The rest of the room was acceptable. It had a living area and a separate bedroom so we had 2 TV’s. There was also a mini-fridge and a microwave. We had to clip the black out drapes shut with 2 skirt hangers because at night a spotlight shoots straight up toward our room, but the skirt hanger thing worked and it was no issue. There is a pool and small fitness center, but we didn’t use either. Breakfast was okay, but they offered no fresh fruit, which was disappointing. On Sunday morning I used the main floor restroom, and there was NO soap in the container, NO toilet paper in one of the stalls, and NEITHER stall had toilet seat covers in the containers On On Sundaafff Overall, I’d say this hotel was average compared to other pet friendly hotels we’ve stayed at.

Reported noise from adjoining room the night of our stay. Front desk lady, very nice, told me next day she had communicated with them after I notified her. Noisy room seemed to leave but when they returned late, after one of us was sound asleep, they made so much noise of a nature not worth reporting publicly, I could not sleep at all even after they finally stopped. Called the front desk to report in the morning. Staff who answered took wrote notes. We had a decent breakfast then packed up to leave. Same front desk lady was very nice, apologized and suggested we may receive a 25% discount or the room would be credited depending on manager decision. I was surprised and thanked her for her understanding. They contacted me 4 days later, apologized again but said because I hadn't reported the late night noise the next day, they would only offer extra points. Both the front desk lady and the person who contacted me 4 days later acknowledged that the adjoining room doors are not sufficient and much noise goes through. The person calling me back also revealed that they have tried hard to insulate the noise but again acknowledged it was not sufficient. Points don't do justice. We had liked this hotel in the past, but they obviously don't care. In addition, the chair on which I placed my shirt made it dusty and my socks were dirty from the floor. Everything else appeared clean.
