We were extremely disappointed with our stay in Unit 703. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. Every morning, as early as 8:00 a.m., the thermostat would automatically reset to 75°, and in the evenings it would not allow us to lower the temperature below 72° because the thermostat was password protected by the owners. Guests have no control over the temperature, which made the home unbearably hot. This is a three-story property, and our bedroom on the upper floor was miserable. It was extremely hot during the day and remained uncomfortable throughout the night, making it very difficult to sleep. We contacted the property management company multiple times, but nothing was done to resolve the issue. We were told the owners said the AC couldn’t be set any lower because it would freeze up. That is not an acceptable excuse. If the AC unit cannot properly cool the home during the middle of summer, then it should be repaired, serviced, or replaced—not left for paying guests to deal with. For the amount of money we paid to stay here, we expected a comfortable place to relax. Instead, we spent our vacation sweating and sleeping in uncomfortable conditions. The cleanliness was also very disappointing. The property did not match the photos online, and all of the couches were dirty. We didn’t feel comfortable sitting on any of them and had to cover them with blankets before we could use them. I’m writing this review because I believe future guests deserve to know what to expect before booking. Had we known the thermostat was locked and that the home could not be cooled below these temperatures in the middle of summer, we would have chosen a different property. I don’t want other families to be blindsided and disappointed upon arrival the way we were, only to have their vacation negatively impacted by issues that could have been disclosed or corrected. Overall, the lack of functioning air conditioning, the poor response from property management, and the cleanliness issues made this a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend staying in Unit 703 unless these issues are properly addressed.

Im not one to leave reviews, but i absolutely need to leave one here. The place is nice dont get me wrong but if you are one to sit out and look at the stars on a nice night out choose another place. The security guards treat this place like a maximum security prison. Not all of them, CLAUDIA SPECIFICALLY. The most rude condescending person i have ever had the displeasure of meeting. On my first night there i decided to go outside into the pool area at around 10:45 to just look at the stars. I was told i couldnt be out since the pool was closed. Okay fair enough… i started walking back to where i came in from which was a gate right infront of our rooms back patio. I then hear “i dont know why your going over there i already locked that gate” i let her know i do not have the code for the front door available and everyone was already asleep babies included and i didnt want to wake anyone up needlessly, she then says extremely condescendingly “when you checked in you were told when the pool closed”**i didnt check in my father did so i didn’t have any of that info nor was i told about that**understandably i thought i couldn't go into the pool itself, its crazy i cant even sit outside at night for a hefty $5,000 stay. But that’s neither here nor there. After walking around trying to figure out how i was going to get back in **barefoot by the way** i go to the front gate and asked if they would prefer me sleeping outside or if she can please unlock the gate and let me in. She then comes out of her front office cave and proceeds to scream at me telling me “i have done my job, and you dont need me to get back in” and proceeds to give me directions on how to get to the back gate that is a hidden walkway, her words “looks like you are walking into bushes go right back there and get in” i then tell her “then you ______ tell me that the first time Ive never been here before” use your imagination and the expletive i used because in this life my experience has been you give respect and you are given respect, you talk to me like a child and treat me like crap guess what your getting back…… Claudia i hope you read this you, you are a miserable person who doesn’t have the slightest inkling of how to speak to people. All i was doing was trying to get back inside and you came at me hostile as hell for ZERO reason. And how i spoke to you was a direct reflection of how you spoke to me. SHAME ON YOU. Never everrrrrrrrr staying here again. If you are in bed by 8pm you’ll have a great time as i said the place is beautiful but the one lady at the front made my stay here memorable for all the wrong reasons and my fiance and i will NEVER COME BACK. Which i know doesn’t matter at the end of the day but good lord was that lady claudia the most rude unhelpful miserable person who took it all out on the guests it was a crazy encounter.

Our stay here was great! Roads were nice and wide, and they made for great evening walks. Docks were conveniently located and the boat slips were a nice size. We hung out at the pools a lot, which were a great size with bathrooms super close. There were outdoor tennis and pickleball courts, where we spent a little time, but they aren’t very shaded, so we had to retreat inside to escape the heat (summertime). Indoor courts are offered, but I believe you have to schedule and pay to use. There was a game room with a ping pong table that the kids made use of quite a bit. Our room was one of the closest to the main roads, so there was a little bit of road noise, but not enough to interfere with sleep or anything like that. Overall great experience and would definitely stay here again!
