MARRIOTT BEACHSIDE HOTEL

It appears to be a nice property, but it lacks services. The rooms are not cleaned. If you want to change your towels, you have to go to the reception. The same goes for beach towels; there is no poolside service even though the station is there. Neglect at the poolside, where guests leave glasses and trash; furthermore, the fruit that falls from the trees is left on the paths without being removed and gets crushed by foot traffic, creating a mush, and it also rots in the heat with an acrid smell. We asked for cleaning without success. The coffee in the room is not replaced once it runs out, and you always have to ask at the reception. A property like this deserves more attention and care.

After multiple calls months & weeks before our family trip, the front desk staff assured me that a new elevator would be installed in bldg 4 prior to our arrival. When we checked in and collected keys for 15 family members in 4 units (3 on the 3rd floor), no mention of the nonexistent elevator was made. There was no sign of any elevator workers the whole week, so any hope of an easier exit with luggage was gone. The furnishings & appliances were great. We had to request drip coffee makers for 3 of our rooms. We expected the Key West heat & humidity, but a working elevator would have been appreciated.

Don’t believe the pics! Small pool, and even smaller beach area which is man-made and about 200 sq feet with lots of rocks, seaweed, and broken chairs. All the elevators were broken. All! Very dated.
