Motel 6 Palm Bay

I was working near this hotel and decided to stay there since it was convenient to the job site. I guess I should have read the reviews prior to staying there. This place is a dump! It should be condemned and torn down. The room smelled like mold, the baseboards were falling off with rot behind them, there was no water pressure, no toilet paper, stains on the carpet, stains on the comforter and the room key didn't work half the time. Do not stay at this place!

My husband and I stay at this location quite often for business and we have family near. Now, while it’s not the most “well kept” place we’ve ever stayed, we keep coming back because of the customer service. Period. Margot is not only the sweetest, but she’s incredibly accommodating too. As well as the owner. They have long remembered us no matter how long it’s been between visits and are ALWAYS just as nice and welcoming. Clearly it isn’t anything fancy, but we figure, we’re not buying the place & for a simple nights sleep it’s worth giving up the “amenities” for some real customer service!!!

To start I’m a “ penny-pincher “ but I don’t think you should get dinged for trying to save money wherever and whenever ya can. Well, I was visiting another disabled vet when I got sick, I didn’t want to get his daughters sick ,so to error on the side of safety I went to this motel 🏨 6 in Palm Bay. I was passed out from exhaustion within a half hour after checking in and slept for 12hrs, woke up enough to shuffle to the bathroom and fall back into the bed for another 8-10 hrs, I was sooo sick that I never actually got under the covers and just wrapped myself in the comforter. Well, I had to drive my self back to the office to sign the paperwork even though I was sweating My arsh off and shivering, I went back and fell asleep for another 8hrs AND this is when I felt something on my legs but I just thought it’s was my legs not moving and being sick but when I went to the bathroom I saw fleas on the towel on the bathroom floor and ON my legs, I even videotaped it and fell back to sleep as soon as I got back to the bed. The very next day ,went to the office told them about the situation and asked them if they had someone to take care of this problem, so that I could leave “without “ my newly found friends 🤢, they told me it would be 24-48hrs before the company would be there to take care of the problem, I asked what about me and me leaving without the fleas and the mgr just looked at me like she didn’t know what I was talking about???😳 so I went to Lowe’s and got a bug bomb and lit them off in the room and told the mgr that no one should go into the room for about 3hrs, so I went to ihop to eat(ate outside, I milked that meal for 2hrsand spent the last hr in the motel office. They didn’t offer to even pay for anything, I was waiting and waiting 🤔🤔🤔🤔. Well after getting really big garbage bags to put all my stuff in to get washed/dry I packed everything up and went to the office to asked for the bill, I asked to talk to the mgr on the side of the office, up til then I talked to the mgr in a very soft voice as to not hurt their business but she was getting a little attitude and didn’t want to discuss this Buisness on the side , so I talked loud enough for all the other patrons in the checking in area could hear us and asked about the bill and not feeling that living in a hotel room for 2days and having to pay for my own bug bomb is right, they took off one night and repaid me for the bug bomb by taking off $10 off the first nights bill.👎👎
