Breakwater Hotel

Expected better to be honest. Pros: **Great location. **Great air con. **Have seen on other reviews that it was noisy, we heard nothing on our floor. Cons: **Broken and missing tiles on shower floor - we received very bad cuts on feet as a result. **Toilet would only flush every now and then which was great when two people are in the room. **One of the bathroom sinks was blocked. **Bar fridge broken. **Ground level restaurant ‘Havana’ - waitress was great. Empanadas delicious, but remainder of meals were ice cold and not hot (beef stew, chicken, rice). *Not advised that the road was closed for unknown time and that we had to go to valet a block away. We then had to cart our suitcases blocks to check in. Not suitable as just had surgery. Then had to cart everything back when retrieving car. Many other guests were also upset about not being informed.

This hotel is terrible now without lily . Pool was dirty , the front desk agents are clueless about everything. They don’t even know the difference between buildings . I’ve been coming to this hotel for 4 years and will never return . Now that lily is not there there is no reason to go there . The only reason that I Booked 5 times a year to go there was the customer service from lily. Stay away from this hotel. Dirty, bad customer service , problems with ac , loud music that won’t let you sleep. It hurts me to say that after being a guest for 4 years I will never return . They need to bring lily back which was the only reason why allot of us guest keep booking in that old , low budget terrible management (now) hotel. DO NOT book here you will regret it. New management is destroying even the customer service. Nasty shower head, rooms not clean and I had to wait almost an hour for my room after I know check in is at 4. But nooooo my room was not ready until 5. Book in the Waldorf cause breakwater died after lily stop managing it.

Room was not ready when we arrived around 3pm, she was going to be ready half an hour later. When we came back at 5.30pm she was not ready and we still had to wait. Finally at 6.30pm we could get into the room, which was actually not that clean at all and still had a lot of dust and sand on the ground. And to get to the room you have to go through a terrace, then through an ice cream shop and then you can take a lift up there ... We had booked restaurant at 8pm, and were there just in time after our shower Then there is the very loud music until 2.30 in the morning; so sleeping is difficult. Breakfast voucher, breakfast is a fried egg with toast or an omelette with 1 attachment (cheese or bacon) per person, and only 1 bag of coffee per person, and you can not go to breakfast until 9:30. So no 2nd bag of coffee or a croissant, even one slice of toast was not enough for the 2 fried eggs.
