Hampton Inn Miamidadeland

Hampton Inn has three major attractions: 1. Price 2. Breakfast included 3. Free Parking For Miami, that's very good. But you can't demand more than the basics in this hotel. Old apartments, everything more or less. Don't even think about using the fitness center, it's a waste of time. Minuscule, no options. The hotel is next to Dadeland Mall, a traditional shopping center in the city. And it's not far from Grove or Calle Ocho, for example. Anyway, a hotel for those who have something to do in the area.

Booked very last minute and was pricey, but worth it in the end. Nice big room, very clean - however there’s a permanent damp towel smell because the windows don’t open, however putting on the AC removed it. They don’t do housekeeping everyday but you can request a clean or new towels etc at reception. The TV has Netflix, Disney etc… and the WiFi was very good, you have to just refresh the log in every now and again. Breakfast was fantastic, something for everyone and plenty of it. The pool area is nice, not many sun beds but luckily we always got one, could sit and watch the iguanas there all day. 5 minutes walk to Target, 15-20 to Dadeland Mall. 10 minutes to Dadeland North station. Plenty of parking at the hotel. Overall very good, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend.

The parking lot was full but I got the last spot way in the back. It felt sketchy and dark. Robert checked me in efficiently and I went to my room that looked like it was stuck in the 80’s. The bedding was dirty and worn and the room smelled like toxic chemicals to mask the worn out carpet and flooring. The bathroom was like a pig with lipstick, just poorly maintained. Only here for one night. I’m stuck on an old bumpy bed. Welcome to Miami this is very much less than 2 stars. Hampton Inn Hilton should be ashamed.
