Hilton Grand Vacations Club At South Beach

We visited Miami Beach South July 1-5. We are HGV members so we had use or lose points. We chose Miami…questioning our decision. The gals behind the desk on Day One were amazing. Very nice, very informative. The gals after that first day were rude and definitely NOT customer service oriented. The biggest disappointment was not even the hotel’s fault. The seashore was full of Sargassum (seaweed). It made getting in the water almost impossible AND there was a film of algae on top of the water 🤢. We should have researched this ahead of time. The hotel does not have a pool. Again, we should have researched this ahead of time. SO on Day 3 we got a day pass to another Hilton ($$) and spent the day at a pool. Ocean Dr is cool and Lummus Park is pretty. There’s a big 4th of July celebration tonight so that should be great. We probably won’t return unless the ocean gets its act together.

My family and I stayed here as owners for a second time. We had a relaxing, wonderful stay. The rooms are Devin smaller than other locations but being across the street from the beach makes it all worth it. All staff were helpful and friendly. There are free laundry facilities in each building (not in the room. We had a one bedroom and my only issues are that the beds are only queen size and the cooktop has only two burners. Also no pool. The living room does have a sofa bed which was great. Still, for such a prime location I’m not complaining. Plenty of shops and restaurants right outside the door and Espanola Way is right around the corner! Go there!! We’ll be back every year!

Great location, friendly and efficient staff, spacious and well-appointed rooms. Discounts for umbrellas and chairs at beautiful beach steps from the hotel, plenty of restaurants all around. Highly recommended
