Holiday Inn Miami International Airport Hotel

Great day for business. Allow catering service for my business meetings

Very near airport so ideal for overnight stopover. Room was clean, bed and pillows are comfortable so we slept well. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast from the menu was worth having and was better than the buffet. Only downsides were the building is looking tired and worn and needs redecorating and the pool didn't look very clean.

Hotel offers shuttle from MIA however a bit confusing. We stood at "hotel shuttle" sign at airport and watched our shuttle go by in outside lane. Confirmed with front desk...you have to cross twice when leaving the airport terminal building for their shuttle. . We did not see any indication of which shuttles stopped at individual "hotel shuttle" signs. We ended uo taking a taxi. See dispatcher in orange vest to request a "blue" taxi. You can not take orange taxis lined up outside - different zones. We paid $15. Despite checkin desk being busy, checkin was quick. Room is quite large with usual amenities- Dove wall-mounted toiletries, iron and board, coffee maker & safe. We did not visit restaurant/bar on the 9th (private event) however even on the 5th floor, we could "feel" the music thumping. This location has two buildings. Photo taken from pool clearly shows bar/restaurant on top floor of one building. Pool towels in pool area. CVS about 2 minutes by foot. Turn right as you leave hotel and walk along sidewalk along side and back of hotel, across "river" to building with Navarro signage. Good spot to pick up wine, pop or snacks to take onboard cruise. If cruising, be sure to book shuttle. Hourly shuttle to port $15 per person (cash or card paid to driver). We tried to book shuttle for 1 pm however at least 4 people need to reserve time slot for shuttle to run. Earlier shuttles are very busy. Uber definitely a good alternative.
