Homewood Suites By Hilton Airport West

We traveled from Jamaica and spent a week. It is a good hotel to stay if you want to be near the airport. If you want to be close to south beach or the city it’s about 20-30 minutes drive. The rooms and general areas were clean and comfortable. Everything you needed to feel comfortable for your stay was provided. Special shout out to our housekeeper Belmy. She was so sweet Complimentary basic continental breakfast is available every morning and staff were polite and ensured everything was replenished in a timely manner. Socials available during the week at 5:30pm with light food, snacks and drinks. The airport shuttle is great for arrivals but we had to Uber when we were leaving as we were informed we would be dropped off at arrivals and would have to find departures by ourselves and we didn’t want the hassle. The shuttle that used to go to dolphin mall is no longer existent so bear that in mind if you plan to visit dolphin mall close by. Overall the experience was good and I would recommend to other travelers.

Dirty hotel. The carpet on the 4th floor from elevator to rooms is filthy Rooms are ordinary, worn out. Moldy shower. Smelly kitchen All the doors in the entire hotel sqeek

Our vehicle was stolen from the parking lot on this trip. The hotel, staff, and management were very good to us and helpful. We parked right by the front door, under a light and in full view of a security camera. We have good video of the thievery which only took about 2 minutes to complete. Beware of current truck theft in the area. Two trucks were stolen from a hotel across the street in the same month that we know of. The only reason we know that is through the rental car company we had to use in the area. Again, the hotel itself and staff were great. Losing our vehicle and everything inside.......not so hot.
