Avanti Resort

Our stay at the Avanti Hotel in Orlando was a complete disappointment from beginning to end. When we arrived, we were told there was no room booked for us, despite having already paid a substantial amount as part of our holiday package. After a long journey, we were left with no choice but to pay for another room just to have somewhere to stay for the night. This was an incredibly stressful and frustrating way to start our holiday. The problems continued throughout our stay. On our final night, we had to be moved to another room because the air conditioning unit in our room caught fire. While transferring our belongings, I left the room for around 10 minutes to take some items to the new room. When I returned to collect the rest of our things, my tracksuit, which had been stored in a drawer ready for travelling home, had disappeared. What made the situation even worse was the hotel’s response. Staff showed very little interest in helping to locate my missing tracksuit or investigating what had happened. It felt as though our concerns were simply dismissed. To make matters worse, despite repeatedly raising the issue of having to pay for an extra room due to the hotel’s booking error, we were never refunded. My uncle had to ask numerous times throughout our stay, but the hotel continued to deny responsibility and failed to put things right. The rooms themselves were very basic, outdated, and not representative of the price we paid. The staff were generally unhelpful, the amenities were poor, and being charged additional resort fees on top of everything else felt completely unjustified. Overall, what should have been a relaxing holiday became one problem after another. Between the booking issues, the fire in our room, the missing belongings, the lack of customer service, and not being reimbursed for costs we should never have incurred, this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. I would not recommend staying here.

***Do not book this hotel if you are British, for some reason they think we are push overs and put British holiday makers in the poorest rooms possible*** Nothing like you see in our holiday brochures or on holiday company websites…. Disgraceful room we ended up in something I’d be unhappy for my pets to stay in, beds resembled camping beds It really is bad, so dirty and unclean, Do not walk barefoot in the room Reception staff are disgustingly rude even the management! The manager of the hotel is a disgrace laughing at my Mrs after having to visit reception 3 times in one day of our stay whilst being locked out of our room! ***STAY WELL CLEAR***

This is our second year staying here, and the service has been amazing. Michelle in the café always goes above and beyond to make sure we're taken care of. She is friendly, hardworking, and truly makes every visit enjoyable. Thank you, Michelle, for your outstanding hospitality—we look forward to coming back next year!
