Hotel Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Orlando Apopka

This was a stay for several days because we had plumbing issues at our home. They were great. Shirin at the front desk was always so nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The coffee was good(!!!!!) and the cinnamon rolls were good too. Very friendly staff.

I am extremely disappointed with the management at the Holiday Inn Apopka. To be honest, I was hesitant to book here again. During a previous stay, I noticed a consistent unfriendliness from the front desk and management, the breakfast was mediocre at best, and the room had a lingering, unpleasant odor. However, because this is the closest hotel to where I need to be for work, I decided to give them another try. That was a mistake. I cancelled my stay well in advance because my business trip was cancelled. Despite this, they charged my Visa in full. As a Silver Elite member, I expected a basic level of professional courtesy. Instead, I am being forced to fight for a refund on a room I didn’t use and cancelled properly. To make matters worse: No Credit Given: If a hotel insists on keeping your money for a room you didn't use, they could at least credit the stay toward your points and elite status. Zero Recognition: This hotel did neither. They essentially took my money and offered zero value or loyalty recognition in return. I’ve been a loyal IHG guest, but this experience has completely soured my view of this location. It’s clear that the management issues I noticed in the past have evolved into a complete lack of billing integrity. If you want a hotel that honors its own cancellation system and respects its loyal members, look elsewhere.
