Orlando Vista Hotel, an Ascend Collection hotel

One of the worst Marriott properties my wife and I have stayed at, and we travel frequently throughout the East Coast. The room and furnishings felt very dated and gave off more of a beach motel atmosphere than what we expect from a Marriott hotel. We stayed in a King Suite, which is our usual choice because my wife has back issues and relies on a jetted tub after long days of travel. Unfortunately, the jets on the tub didn’t work and even though we asked them to fix it or move us both request fell on deaf ears as neither were done. The room did not meet our expectations in terms of comfort or overall quality. The one highlight was the balcony view, where we were able to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks each evening. The hotel also offered a $19.99 breakfast, but we chose not to eat there because it appeared similar to the complimentary continental breakfasts offered at many other hotels. Overall, the experience felt like a case of getting what you pay for. We will not be staying at this property again.

One of the biggest advantages of staying here is the convenience. Being located close to all the parks and Disney Springs makes getting around incredibly easy and takes a lot of stress out of planning your day. What truly made this stay stand out, however, was the staff and the added benefits that enhanced the overall experience. The team was welcoming, professional, and consistently provided excellent service throughout our stay. As a Bonvoy Platinum/Titanium Elite member, having access to the complimentary continental snack lounge with 24/7 access was definitely a bonus and a feature that added significant value. Having snacks and refreshments available at any time made the experience even more convenient after long days visiting the parks. Overall, this hotel delivers a great combination of location, comfort, service, and elite benefits—making it an excellent option for both families and frequent travelers visiting the area.

I planned a vacation for spring break with my children and senior parent. We took a really late flight only to arrive at 0100 and find out this hotel had overbooked and they had no room available for us. We were already tired and to arrive and be told there was no room was totally unacceptable considering I had already prepaid for our room. They had us pack our stuff back into the car and called another hotel that could take us. We had to check out early the next day and come back to see if they would even have another room for us. This threw our plans way off. This is the first time something like this has happened and I travel a lot. They said the manager would check on us the next day and she never did. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever.
