Laval was a brilliant server of drinks, food and pool support. Kept us hydrated, fed and safe especially when the weather changed and the thunder & lightening started. Would highly recommend him & his team member Jazz for their fantastic attitude & service.

The hotel surprised me with the size of the apartment! It was enormous, 3 large bedrooms with 1 suite and 2 bedrooms! With a super equipped kitchen, living and dining room, and a balcony with a view of the lake! Wonderful. The only reservation I have is because they don't include breakfast and charge an abusive fee of 120 dollars at check-in

WorldQuest is a unique mix between a hotel and an Airbnb-style stay. The lobby, the pool area and the general surroundings give you the impression of a proper hotel. Once you enter the apartment, it becomes clear that each unit is individually owned, which means the experience depends on which owner’s apartment you get. The apartments are spacious and practical. They have a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, a dishwasher and a large fridge and freezer. There are also several bathrooms with both showers and bathtubs, and shampoo was included. The standard varies between units. Some apartments have modern TVs and new appliances, while others feel a bit older. This variation is natural when different owners maintain their own units. One thing worth noting is that the number of power outlets near the beds was limited. Most outlets were placed in the middle of the rooms or near doorways, which made charging phones and devices at night a bit inconvenient. The pool hours were generous, from 07:00 to 23:00, and the gym was open 24/7. The small convenience store on the property was very expensive. A single beer cost 7 USD. The pool bar was friendlier in both price and atmosphere, although it closed at 19:00. Aside from the pool and the gym, there is not much to do on the property. During thunderstorms, and there were many, swimming was not allowed. This made the place feel a bit dull at times. You also need your own car to stay here. The nearest Walmart is several kilometers away and the area is surrounded by highways. The traffic noise was noticeable and the frogs were loud at night, which might disturb light sleepers. Another issue was the smell of hash in the evenings. It often smelled as if someone was smoking on several different spots around the property. We noticed it by the pool and even on our own balcony. We stayed in building 5, which was a bit of a walk from the pool area. There was also a large renovation project taking place in the building in front of ours. The work caused quite a lot of disturbance throughout the days, which affected the overall experience. A practical tip is to bring your own streaming subscription, a laptop and an HDMI cable. The TV setup varies and you may want your own entertainment. We had a washing machine leak on day four, which led to us being moved to another apartment. The relocation was handled somewhat clumsily and the interaction created a bit of tension. Originally, we felt the stay deserved a rating of 3 out of 5. One person changed that. Laval, the bartender, was consistently in a good mood, always had time to listen and created a genuinely warm atmosphere. Thanks to him, the final rating is 4 out of 5.
