Grandview East Resort by The Resort Collection

Grand View East Tower # 301 was what I rented for a family trip. It showed the guest bedroom as a King room. I went through Vrbo, RealJoy Vacations. I remarked about the King guest bedroom was great ! Our son and family we're going and he just had surgery and being 6ft 2 he needs the larger bed. I also kept asking if they had a lobby and finally said yes they did. I said there is no picture of one. Before our stay I was offered 2 extra days were available after our check out date At a 50% off rate. We extended our vacation. We'll I have to let anyone thinking of renting here that there is no lobby. It's where the 2 elevators are which one was not working and had people stuck in it waiting for the company to come fix it !!! They were a problem the whole time we were there. Also you have to go to the 2nd floor to get a cart to load or unload your stuff !! What a nightmare !! Glad we were on 3rd floor, #301 because we took the stairs. And what a surprise when we got to our room and found the guest guest bedroom To be Queen room not King !!! My son was not happy! I called the next day as too late by time we were able to get our room. I told the agent the bed issue and said I signed a contact for a King guest bedroom and would like them to put one in the room . They would get back to me. Never did. I tried to call them back at the # 1 850 588 1385, 850 974 0974 and 850 788 0670 that goes in circles for days while we were there. Couldn't leave a message for call back. Sent text with one back saying they will get back to me and didn't. I finally got someone the day we were leaving and I told her I want compensation for all my issued !!! Had I know the bedroom was not a King room I would have never rented this nor extended our time. At least they could credit that back to me. She said she would forward to that department for review. I advise my next step would be to contact the GM for false advising. She did advise me she spoke to marketing and they admitted it should be listed as Queen room ! Well as of today, it still shows a King guest room. And the pool has no shade,umbrellas or tables. It's small with nothing for kids. The place was big but needs updating. I did finally get credit for the 2 extra nights we book. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!!!!..

Dishwasher did not work throughout our stay. Had to handwash for seven people for a week instead of enjoying our stay. We were lied to multiple times by East Coast Destinations managing the property that someone will come soon and fix it, never happened. Then I asked for a partial refund since the dishwasher was listed as one of the amenities that wasn't provided. Again, they said they will review and get back to me, it didn't happen either. Very dishonest company, stay away!

Watched dolphins from balcony # 604 immaculate! Will return! Comfortable beds well furnished steps to the beach! Highly recommend!
