We have only ever stayed at the Wharf before this and while it was great for kids, on our solo trip for a late honeymoon and first ever without kids The Origin made us realize how badly we had been douped in years passed! The building was perfect! fast elevators! no complaints other than the pool heater went out a couple times and was freezing cold during our only good weather days but atleast it was warm on the bad weather days. Due to the set up of the building the hours that the sun is on the pool deck is extremely limited. They test and clean the pool and facility every day better than anywhere I've ever seen. scrubbing the pool floor and everything. if getting the most pool time in the sun is important to you that is something to consider but personally the building is nice enough in all the other ways that I would sacrifice the time and spend the shady hours at the beach! We wanted to leave a day early so we booked with Sharon Michaels for 605 for one night while we waited on our condo for the week. She was so helpful and kind! Her unit was perfect for a couple and even with one or 2 very small kids if you don't need any "sexy adult time" because its a studio condo. The bed was amazing with great pillows! The curtains were thick and blocked out all light. that end was actually the best view of the streets, beach and sunset. Especially compared to our other room(704) which was on the west tower on the left front end over looking the pool and street. we couldn't see the sunrise or sunset from that other room. looking back I wish we could have just stayed in 605 all week even if it was smaller! I will be going to Sharon for all future bookings, she is tourist dream in a city where you don't know anyone or who to trust! Now on to 704, The condo was clean but not maticulously kept. Due for a professional clean and some paint for sure. but nothing that will ruin your trip! we still had a blast and felt comfortable. The bed had been flipped so the pillow top was face down. We learned that when turning the bed because the first night we were laying what felt like down hill, upside down. when we flipped the huge heavy bed over we did find some huge stains that looked like someone peed the bed and tried to cover it up or the owners save the pillow top for when they come to town but its something for people to start checking for in all rentals if the bed is uncomfortable. The shower was amazing and huge, it does need a good professional cleaning in the grout tho! Living room was perfect other than they've never cleaned the outside of the building's screens and windows and the blinds were pretty dusty. kitchen was great. not very many extras in the cabinets lol no Keurig, traditional pot so bring yours if you need one. I left them a note about the washer. it made the sleeves of my silk robes very dingy colored and I had to throw them away. It also was so loud that you couldnt run it too early or late. it sounded like it was going to combust lol! MY biggest complaint and the sole reason I wont ever rent that condo again was that when I originally found that room I found it advertised with beach service. I did not screenshoot that part though and never found that same ad again to prove it. But the rooms amenities state that it came with 2 beach chairs and an umbrella so I assumed it would be fine. I felt even better when I got to the room and didn't find any chair or umbrellas left for guests to borrow. well we get to the beach and were not on the old mans list and he made us pay 40$ for the day and said work it out with the condo. Not hauling all the crap back and foorth accept our beach bag was a huge thing to us since we didn't have the kids and finally didn't have to lug a whole cart thruy the sand! We go to the front desk where a whole jerk sits every day doing nothing. some white girl who acts like guests have some real nerve coming to talk to her. She tells my husband when he shows her the ad on the website that says 2 chairs and umbrella and her excuse is that its an amenity of things that you can get. which was a lie because it didn't have jet ski or banana boat or golf cart or para sailing etc. and you can also rent more than 2 chairs and umbrella and campfires but that wasn't on the list. every other thing on that list is something free that comes with the room! if coffee pot is on the list you don't assume that you can go buy a coffee pot or rent one across the way??? I'm still really mad she wouldn't even ask anyone about it she just flat out told us too bad. So if that matters to you and you don't want to waste hundreds of dollars paying for what you were promised be sure and call them before booking to make sure. and if they say no then make sure and give them hell about why it says it because that sure does not mean its offered to rent. there is a whole other place where things to rent are listed. this was specific of what comes with your room! and the old man that does the chairs told us 736 has that problem as well because they front to remove it from the ads last year. so 736 wont come with beach service either! Everyone other than the girl at the desk on weekdays with brown hair and some young security guy that also has attitude and doesn't want to be bothered, was phenomenal and nice. Despite some off things we had a magnificent week were sad to leave and cant wait to get back and in place where we can stay for months at a time
