Seahaven Beach Hotel

We stayed here for an event at Sharky’s. The event has room blocks at SeaHaven, The Reef, and Origins. We stayed at The Reef last time and were not impressed so decided to try SeaHaven as some of the reviews stated it had been renovated. I don’t know where those reviewers stayed as this hotel is definitely not renovated. There is a $50 security deposit charged upon arrival that “will be refunded when housekeeping confirms the room has no damage after checkout.” I took pictures as soon as we entered the room because the dresser was damaged and I don’t want to be charged. I notified the rude front desk staff. The room looked dirty but we were here for an event and didn’t want to move to a hotel further away so I wiped everything down with disinfectant wipes. We didn’t notice the issues with the shower until the next day. I was glad the handle and faucet stayed attached the entire stay. They had obviously done a horrible patch job and this entire shower needs to be replaced. Once we are settled in a room we prefer to not have housekeeping enter. There are no “do not disturb” signs so we made our own “no housekeeping please” sign and placed it on the door each time we left. Imagine my surprise when I came back to the room and the bed clothes and trash were in a pile on the dirty hallway floor outside the room with our no housekeeping sign crumpled up with it. When I entered the room the floor was still wet and the cleaning spray bottle was on the dresser. The “cleaning” smell was so strong I had to open the balcony door to get some fresh air. The balcony door does not stay shut unless you lock the door. I assumed they would be back to get the dirty laundry so I put the cleaning bottle in the hall with it. After we had been back for about an hour I was going to change into my PJs but could not find them. That’s when the realization hit that they had been on the bed. The dirty laundry was still in the hall so I shook everything out and sure enough there were my PJs. I obviously was not going to wear them after they were on the dirty hall floor. We also were left with no towels as the housekeeper had taken them all but not replaced them with fresh towels. My husband went to the front desk and they were apologetic and gave him towels and assured him housekeeping would be back to get the trash and dirty laundry from the hall. This was about 6pm. We checked out at 2 am and it was all still in the hall. The only pro for this hotel is the beach views. We love to stay right on the beach and listen to the waves crashing. We will never stay here again and may not come back to the event if this is the quality of hotels they choose.

We went to PCB July 10-15 with the intention of camping in St. Andrew’s state park. Upon arrival to the park, the A/C unit in our Rv went out so we parked it and decided to get a hotel. Not wanting to spend an extra unplanned $2000 we looked around and found the Sea Seahaven Beach Resort. It has been years since we vacationed in anything but our Rv so and this hotel came in at the right price point. The pictures on Expedia looked nice but I didn’t check the reviews ( I know I know). Being right down the street we drove to the hotel and booked with them directly. When entering the lobby, it looked nice and clean and the clerks were helpful… this was the end of the road when it came to the pros of this dump. When asking for a luggage cart they said they didn’t have any, weird but ok we will carry the stuff. As we walked to our first floor room (117) my delicate nasal passages deserted the stoned order of hippie hay from the point we left the office until we arrived at the room. Upon getting to the room, the door looked like it had 60 coats of peeling paint on it and the door frame had pry marks all around the lock … When we entered the room, the experience started bad, got worse as we crossed the threshold and went down hill from there, the double queen with a pullout room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 20 years, sand on the floor, filth on the walls. The pull out couch was supposed to be white but looked like it had been dragged through a wet coal mine, the beds were stained with who knows what and looked about as comfortable as a bag of rocks. The bathroom was atrocious, the counter was filthy, there was mold all around the faucets. while not directly visible, the flange on the toilet was likely shot as a smell of mildew and urine was coming from around the base, the tub/shower fixtures also has mold and were painted over ( looked like the landlord special) with what looked like white primer. The ceiling has mold the fan was filthy. At this point it was so bad it was almost funny, just out of curiosity I turned on the run faucet and the water pressure was so high that I thought it was going to shatter what was left of the bottom of the tub. If all this is not bad enough, the AC in the room was not flush with the wall, if you looked at the edge, which was visible if your were standing in the walkway in front of the beds , you could see daylight coming in. To make things even better the A/C unit only blew luke warm coldness.. While the view was nice, the door to the deck, porch what ever it’s called did not close and latch all the way, it looked warped from water damage. On the deck, the railing was loose which presented a major safety issue. But wait there is more, the pool area of this magical place was nice but the water in the pool was so cloudy it looked like bleach water, there was also a garden hose running into it on the 9ft deep end of the pool which presented a major tripping hazard to small children.. On a positive note, we did not see any bugs… needless to say, we got a refund and left.. went to a nicer hotel down the strip.. best word of advice if you want to walk into a room and feel like you need to take a shower in disinfectant and delouse, this place is for you… other wise stay clear.

Definitely not a hotel, its a Motel. Out dated. Dirty. Not handicap accessible. Broken floors. Doors, big gaps on the front door and you can see outside. Balcony doors need latches and slam shut. Metal is all rusted so use caution might need a tetanus shot if u snag your skin on anything. Truly a hazard and safety risk to stay here. Parking is $26 across the street. Elevators rarely work, we were put on the 5th floor with a wheelchair. Front desk guy was so cold and simply said "u can either stay or i can try to refund you". Beds are metal framed and noisy at the slightest movement. Mattresses are just gross and disgusting to even look at. The daytime manager was very courteous and moved us right away the next day, however this place needs to be shut up and updated immediately before someone gets badly hurt. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR FAMILY.
