Monroe's On The Lake Hotel & Banquet Hall

I was in transit from Florida to Washington, DC Via Amtrak, and Monroe's is one of the closest hotel to the train station, Comfortable room, nice restaurant with great food, place is beautiful day and night. I started my day with a morning walk it was very pleasant.

While visiting friends in Sanford I spent a bit of time on the Riverwalk. As of early June 2018 Monroe’s on the Lake Hotel is gone. The hotel has been demolished, all that remained was the sign. It looked like new construction might be planned but there was no indication of what might be built.

they are closed. they are gone. the buildings are gutted. It was a shame to only have memories of the beautiful location and the terrible room we had at a budget place in Sanford. Again to satisfy Trip Adviser, who I have informed, this facility is gone.
