Palm Manor Resort

The complex is located across the street from a major grocery and also next door to a Win dixi and a dollar store. Safe and quiet indoors. Try to book a condo in the middle because some of the units are very close to the highway. Nice pool and decent club house. Coal grills only located near parking lot. I would stay here again.

I went on AARP’s Expedia travel site and made a reservation for 2 nights in February 2018 unfortunately I had to cancel it due to unforeseen personal reasons-I cancelled it immediately about 15 minutes after making the reservation and I then received a notice from the property saying they were charging me $186. This is totally ridiculous. I would have never made the reservation if I knew this. Their policy is not clearly stated. I called Expedia immediately and they could not get in touch with management for 3 days. I just received notice that they were still going to charge my credit card. I tried calling the hotel and they did not answer the phone. I left my number and they have not called me back. BEWARE dealing with this hotel. They are very unprofessional. This has never happened to me before when dealing with Expedia.

We first visited Palm Manor 20 years ago. We found it to be a very quiet friendly location. We have returned whenever we can. The resort is very well situated within walking distance of supermarkets and local stores. The local Englewood beach is 8 minutes away by car with ample parking. The beach is a natural beach with great amenities (showers toilets etc.) and a great board walk. Some days the beach is almost deserted and you can swim or watch dolphins manatees and pelicans or maybe a sunset or two. The apartments have been updated over the years and include tiled floors nice furniture and TVs in living and master bedroom. All the usual appliances are included and there are two bathrooms. The balconies have tables and chairs and are screened. The pool area is also usually pretty quiet and there is a clubhouse with pool and table tennis. There are also tennis courts to the rear. The staff have always been very attentive and any small issues dealt with immediately. I noticed that a couple of reviewers mentioned some rowdy youths. We have not experienced any issues as mostly the clientele is older adults or families as Englewood is a very chilled and relaxed place.
