The Plantation Golf Resort & Spa

Shocking experience mostly dur to the arritude of the man at the front desk. Pur room was booked for 4 but was only set up for 2. The reception did not pick up the phone st all so had to plod all the way back only to be told, rather rudely, that our only option is to make the 2 beds up ourselves or that our reservation will be cancelled and to get lost. Never in my life had I have to deal with such a situation abd with this attitude of the staff. Frankly the place should close down for the renovation because as is it is mot m´nice at all - practically a building site with nowhere ti sit down and have a drink ir a bite to eat. The room was run down, broken shutters, aircon super noisy as was the ice machine just accross the gall drom our doir. The bathroom was filthy with clumps of hair in shower etc... The stairwell was filthy and smelly. We stayed obe night as we got in late and had nowhere to go and we cut our stay short. Very disappointing experince.

I have never stayed in a dirtier, hotel. It smelled like mildew. Hallways echoed people's voices and dogs barking. The grounds were once beautiful but most buildings are closed due to hurricane damage. People in adventure building were great compared to rude hotel desk employees.

It’s diabolical that they are even allowing people to stay here. The place was trashed 2 years ago from a hurricane. They haven’t done much to fix it. Them accepting guests is a total money grab! Pros: The pool is nice and the staff are nice. The adventure center is also awesome with extremely friendly staff. You can bring your boat here, launch for $10, store your trailer on site and dock your boat here. It’s pretty cool. Cons: The place is not functional. Even the Rose Building that they are operating is hardly functional. The rooms are nice and clean, but there is ZERO noise reduction. You can hear your neighbors having a casual conversation. People are having parties in their rooms and extend it out into the hallway where is echoes all around. It’s extremely loud. Since they aren’t operating the front desk after 10 PM, there is no one to talk to about noise and parties. So if you value sleeping, don’t stay here. No restaurant, no bar, no towel service, might as well not even have a “continental breakfast”. The grounds have not really been kept up. Their website and Expedia are false advertising. They are loosing return customers by not being forthcoming. Way too expensive for what it is, such a money grab!
