Lake Roy Beach Inn

Don’t be deceived by the nice leading photo as we were, planning on a nice lake life stay. No! This place is creepy and filthy from the moment you check into the ghetto style slit window where you are presented with an old fashioned horror movie style key. Then you proceed up the rickety staircase to your “suite” which turns out to be a musty 1970’s hotel room with no AC or modern amenities. The sheets are stained, the fridge smells like 90 day old Chinese take out and your neighbors look like crack heads. We checked out right away and went to a best western (imagine that being an improvement!) and the hotel refused to refund any of our $400!

Run down hotel. Did not feel relaxed in the environment.

Absolutely nasty. There were roaches crawling up the walls and hair all in the bed. We didn't feel safe or comfortable staying there. Front desk clerk was unhelpful and unwilling to refund. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! Save your money. Go anywhere else.
