I visited twice ...as the hotel was transforming from W Atlanta Midtown to its present state, JW Marriott!
Tyteana Gutumore (sp?) at front desk remembered me both times. She was in training the first time I was there. But Emanuel Phillips who was there as the W was ending was no longer there when I did my second visit. He informed that big things were coming in the way of a transfer so good for him!
Great stay both times!

I went into this experience knowing there might be a few challenges due to the recent change in management, and while there were a handful of minor bumps along the way, they did not detract from my overall stay.
The staff was wonderful, the dining experience was excellent, and I felt genuinely welcomed throughout the property. The lobby bar and restaurant were beautifully maintained, offered top-notch service, and created a great atmosphere. The Director of Food & Beverage was especially attentive and clearly invested in ensuring guests had a positive experience.
Overall, despite a few minor issues, the hospitality and service made for an enjoyable and memorable stay.

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Upon arrival, we were unsure we were in the right place because there was no one outside. The hotel was under construction, which I was not made aware of at booking. The elevators were down and no one told us. We waited on the 11th floor for an elevator for about 10 minutes when finally a hotel guest let us know to take the freight elevators. The main restaurant was closed so we paid for expensive food in what appeared to be a conference room. I woke up at 2:30am from what sounded like explosions. When I called the front desk they said it was people showing off their engines. These loud explosions went on for over an hour. Upon check out, I mentioned not being able to sleep and was told, that it was because of a public parking lot and there was nothing they can do about it. She brought over a manager who didn’t speak to me, but handed me a receipt with a $100 credit. The room cost me $440 for the night so the credit was insulting. After leaving, I noticed the valet left a long black pen mark on the leather interior of my door. I would not stay at the W in Downtown Atlanta again if someone paid me.
