Econo Lodge Fort Gordon

DO NOT, Absolutely DO NOT book into this hotel. It is a true dive and not worth your visit. When we entered the parking lot it was trashy and very apparent that parking was not safe, among other issues. We moved on to another lodging site and cancelled our reservation. We have had the absolute worse time getting management to contact us to discuss getting a partial refund or some kind of compromise. We have tried several times (at least half a dozen) to talk to the manager and each time was given a bogus excuse of why that person was not available. We are going to dispute this booking until someone has the decency to contact us. As we said previously DO NOT waste your time booking this hotel. It is not worth it!

Friendly and accommodating staff that goes above and beyond usual requirements for a property of this price point, etc. Will ensure the customer leaves happy regardless of what measures need to be taken. Would definitely recommend and will be back here for Master's Golf Tournament Week - as they conveniently provide shuttle service to and from the course.

I am not sure where to begin as this will be one of the worst reviews I have ever composed. I suppose I'll begin where I checked in my room, enter said room and sit on the bed. I did not deadbolt it immediately (my error) the maid proceeds to use her key to come in to replace towels. Keep in mind this is at 3:30 PM. Ok, honest mistake. The room is filthy, there are still remnants of someone writing profanity on the mirror with a green permanent marker, the jacuzzis tub is probably infested with every disease known to man, the paint is peeling everywhere, there is an empty toilet paper roll on the back of the toilet and a half used one stuffed into a literal hole in the wall, and the smell is what nightmares are made of. The microwave and surrounding area is awful. Ok, so I decide to tough it out for one night. People are congregating outside my room loudly and I'm too scared to even open the door, I sure wasn't going to call the front desk and become a target. Come 1:09 AM I get a call from the front desk to ask if they should hold my room or if I am going to be a no show. Keep in mind I AM IN MY FILTHY ROOM, I kindly let the front desk staff know. A few minutes later it occurs to me that I should probably check my account because of their incompetence and indeed I had been charged twice. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
