Sonesta Es Suites Dublin

Pros. Kitchenette, quiet, good location, WiFi is decent, friendly staff Cons. Dirty (hair everywhere) , smelly, no breakfast like advertised on CLC

The first room’s microwave handle fell off in my hand and smelled like pee so I requested to move to a different room. I got a different room. The new room’s floors were so dirty I couldn’t take off my shoes. The towels were stained with mildew, the dishes were dirty that were in the cabinet, and I had to clean everything before using it. There was someone else’s hair on the back of the bathroom sink. There was dirt behind all the doors. When I spoke with the front desk they said they didn’t have any housekeepers to clean the room and they would give me a refund for the remaining nights if I left. I said fine. He was nice on the phone initially, but when I called back to have him explain the refund receipt to me he talked over me and would not listen. The receipt did not have amounts that coincided with anything, and used an internal number code that meant nothing. Ultimately, the refund was never even provided and I am disputing the charges with my bank. I imagine the people working there are not paid very well and are simply doing the best they can with the staff they have. I think the gentleman was understandably pretty stressed out, but he could’ve been more patient. The ads for this hotel do not indicate this is an extended stay establishment. When walking around the property it became clear that there were no housekeepers and there were long term residents. I would discourage anyone from booking this place.

Disgusting. The service is awful, employees are rude and walk around in bikinis on the job. Our room was quite literally broken into with a crowbar before our stay and you could see into the room from outside. There’s an external deadbolt so you can’t even lock it from the inside. I feel like I need to shower in bleach after leaving. Never stay here.
