The check in was unprofessional, bathroom commode was DIRTY and we had one person who room was sold to someone else before he arrived so we had to find a place for him to stay after driving about 6 hours

The desk clerk when we checked in was very nice and thorough in her description of amenities. The room was clean, but with design flaws. There were no towel bars at all in the bath. This is inexcusable. We had stayed in this same Griffin hotel once in the past. They must have redecorated and inexplicably removed all the places to hang a towel. The lamps in the room do not provide nearly enough light. Maybe a higher wattage in the existing lamps would help. The free breakfast was sub par. Not horrible, but definitely not good. The scrambled eggs were over cooked. That could happen anywhere, but there was also no whole wheat bread for toast and the muffins were skimpy. We arrived at 8:00, so the muffins should have been well stocked at that time. All staff members were friendly and helpful. This so so review is due to cost cutting in design and management. We wouldn't stay here again unless there were no other option.

This is a smaller hotel, one that is shoved into a small strip of land along the main strip of a small city. Parking is limited and we were pulling a utility trailers so that became a major concern. We made it work out but be warned if you need more than one parking space, plan accordingly. There is another hotel by Walmart that would allow for oversized parking. BUT other than this one big issue which was really our own fault because we were pulled in got the room and then realized the parking situation was not great, the hotel itself was nice enough for the price. The desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. Our first room had not been totally cleaned so she quickly reassigned us a new room with apologies, she later called to make sure the new room was to our satisfaction. The bed was comfortable, with a good selections of pillows. The AC worked beautifully and the room was clean. When we walked in the first thing I said, was it doesn't smell moldy. So often in these southern hotels the AC systems do not properly remove the moisture and I was very pleased to not have a problem with this room. Breakfast was good and while not a huge spread it was more than adequate. We tend to eat more protien than carb for breakfast. The scrambled eggs were good and good sausage. Coffee was a little weak but that maybe a regional preference and something you learn to live with when traveling.
