Extended Stay Deluxe Macon - North

To start pics of this establishment looked very pleasant, however upon arrival, we entered into the lobby to find a garage door closed in front of the front desk ( little sketchy to say the least). Then when desk clerk gave keys to room, my wife went up to room to find that the locking key pad wasn't on the door to gain access, the clerk went to the room and used their special key to gain access, when we walked into the room, this is went it all feel apart. The room to say the least had a raw sewage smell to it, not pleasant at all for a romantic getaway. The windows glass was broken causing a big concern for our safety!!! Needless to say we DIDN'T STAY, was told we wouldn't have to pay since we weren't staying and had pay for cancelation anytime. We went to a different brand and had much better experience for sure! Then to find out that we were still charged for the room that we didn't stay in and felt very unsafe was an absolute nightmare slap in the face. Even after speaking with numerous people to get it corrected ( even the parent company). Non of which seemed to really care about customer support and service. I still had to eat the loss for the room! Completely crap if you ask me. I wouldn't even pay for a homeless person to have to stay there, because I would value their safety and comfort more than that!

Large room with fridge, stove , microwave, sink. The bathroom was large and clean. We were staying just 1 night, so had no issues with the requirement to ask for dishes/etc. There was coffee in the lobby in the morning. Room was quiet and bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. Feel it was a good deal at approx $83 incl taxes.

Largest room ever. Two queen beds, sofa sleeper, chair, full kitchen with full size fridge, dishwasher, and large counter. Extra Counter outside bathroom. So nice to line everything I needed for a quick get away in the morning. Clean. Only problem was tub draining slow and I did tell management or how would they know? Breakfast was small no tables. Grabbed a couple things and made hot oatmeal in a coffee cup. Would come here again if we were ever in Macon. Prices were less than other 4 star places.
